Light Blinks Out

Just a poem that I have created :)

The time is near

Running helps not

To or not fear

No more to be fought

Remember the days

Childhood bliss

Innocence plays

Away by a kiss

Fear taking hold

Clammy hands, eyes wide

Oh you were told

There was nowhere to hide

It creeps up behind you

Not a warning nor hint

Not a thing you can do

Your mind but with a splint

It grabs hold your shoulder

You're turned with a jerk

Facing you're bolder

In the shadows does lurk

Head on collision

But with a shout

Altered vision

Your light blinks out

Your Rhythm is superb in all your pieces! Its really interesting to see that you put a lyrical form to your poetry, it shows a possible talent for music. As a Musician I can see a tune in my head running as I read this. another wonderful write.
