All the Good

All the Good

A Poem by Courtney Taylor

The pain I can’t endure

The decision that is unsure

And the disease that has no cure

The fears we don’t face

When slow and steady won’t win the race

The memories we can’t erase

And when it’s the wrong time

You end up in the wrong place

We remember the bad

But not the good

Because our mind misunderstood

That the good was good

Good is foreign to our mind

Good is rare through our eyes

When it comes to good we are blind

Our mind is just sensitized

Because our world is tainted

Our world isn’t pure

We live a world

Where love isn’t worth fighting for

We live in a world

Where the smiles and laughs are fake

Where hopes are considered impossible

And where everything’s a big mistake

Beautiful. Each para is separate and beautiful. Having it all rhyming is the cherry on the cake. Way to go, Courtney!
