Ode to Female Nature

Embrace the beauty of women, in a wholly natural way.

The mystical, but ineffable portrayal of her face

Was one to be remembered eternally in my soul

For had I not taken back my steps towards her place

I would have not concluded my goal.

 

La femme cependant de sa bouche de fraise,

En se tordant ainsi qu’un serpent sur la braise,

Is but a metonymic portrayal of her beauty,

To which the nine circles of hell cannot attribute cruelty.

 

Yet writers such as Wordsworth and Blake admire her nature,

But she remains unaware that her wholeness is my rapture.

She is the apple of Eden

Yet this enjambment does but weaken

As my love to her embellishes, replenishes, fulfils, ills.

 

The apex of renaissance has claimed to have never acquired Romantics

I perhaps believe it is time to conspire Semantics

As I lay upon her silky skin the Dramatics

Or maybe perhaps Adorno’s Dialectics.

 

Whether this be an ode to her existence

Or a preservation of my insistence,

I will forever believe she had me from birth

Her love is nothing but a beautiful curse.

"Her love is nothing but a beautiful curse" is an excellent conclusion ! The story is filled with imagery, suspense and dark beauty which is an amazing combination..maybe you are influenced by Poes obscureness as I read it, it reminded me of him ! Keep it going, Victor, you are on the right track!

You have some lovely ideas at work here, i.e. "her wholeness is my rapture," and I appreciate the nod to Wordsworth and Blake. I do feel the French phrase might hinder the flow of the work, but I may be mistaken. If you are writing your poetry for other poetry enthusiasts, then the French lines may be appreciated, but others who are not as familiar with poetry may find the phrase pretentious and confusing. Please take my opinion with a grain of salt. Understanding your audience is important, but loving your work is more so. : )

Few words i didn't quite understand there, which made it less interesting a little.
Although besides the complicated words, i enjoyed the read.
It was beautiful, how you even added some romantic lines in a different language, and made them rhyme also, now that's impressive, the rest of it rhymed well to, and it all comes together nicely :)
