That Rotten Doughboy

That Rotten Doughboy

A Poem by Country Girl47

That rotten Doughboy! The truth he always denies.
Everyone knows when Mrs. Butterworth stops by.

That maple syrup she uses to make him sweet,
She always gives to him, it's her special treat.

He winks at her, tells her to go ahead,
Kneads at his dough, soon she'll be fed.

She adds a little extra spice,
Making him twice as nice.

The extra butter she's adds for the two
Soon leaks out of his tasty roll, too.

His dough has now been marked,
By her maple lipstick that is dark.

He now got himself in trouble,
Gave into her needs on the double.

She then soon finds out he lied,
Wasn't his only girl, he got a black eye.

Between those two, things weren't so sweet,
He had been thrown out on the cold street.

It never did hurt any of his rotten pride,
Even though deep down he knew he lied.

You've taken away one of my heroes... chuckling here... but he didn't love Aunt Jemima either!

Now how do you know he didn't like Aunt Jemima? LOL. May have been his mistress.
