Alone At Sugar Bay

Alone At Sugar Bay

A Poem by Country Girl47

ne of my favorite hideaways
In Pennsylvania, is at Sugar Bay.

Whenever I needed to get away by myself, I'd take off to the lake.

Wanted to sit alone, under the moon and stars, not by Mr. Mistake.

Only thing on my mind, was how this jerk drove me insane.

Had no more love in my heart for him, became a big pain.

He was about as dense, if not more then that rotten fog.

Wanted to never again be kissed or touched by that frog.

Refused to show anymore compassion towards him,
No longer felt heart broken after what he did to me.

That old frog never did turn into a romantic Prince
like in that story mom had read and said I'd see.
