He's Always Been By My Side

Knew from God above, I had been sent,
Born so healthy, happy and content.

He had plans for my life since day one,
Smiled as I learned to walk, and then run.

Start school, play sports, the hell I went through.
Had His hand on my life, still does, too.

Many times I just wanted to die,
He'd shake His head and let out a sigh.

Had watched me fall in and out of love,
Spread my wings, flew away like a dove.

Seen my heart shattered, the teardrops,
Heard me ask, "Will this ever even stop?"

I had heard Him say so many times to me,
"Won't be given more then you can handle, BELIEVE!"

"Do not let them take away your hope, faith.
Take My plans to the next level, past erase."

Then I turned around, spoke up and to each did say,
"I will not let you ruin my life today, tomorrow or any day."

"You have tried so many times before,
do not need to be put through this any more."

"Will not let you take away my dreams,
thanks to Christ, I have now been redeemed."

"Games of yours, alone I have had to play,
You're now defeated, for Christ is here to stay."

Wow that is a very nice poem. I'm actually Wiccan, but I have the same relationship that you have with Christ with the God and Goddess, and my spirit guide also, so I can relate. Although my beliefs and my religion are different, I can say that I can relate because I feel like the God and Goddess are by my side, and my spirit guide is by my side, and that's a blessing to know that. I think no matter what religion you are you're going to get a test of faith every now and then. I certainly have. I just have to remember that they are by my side through all of this, just as Christ is by yours. You painted such a nice picture, and a happy ending knowing that you are walking with the lord. Nicely done.
