Memories Linger

Memories Linger

A Poem by Country Girl47

Hanging from the galaxy, were twinkling stars shining
so bright down upon me.

I could see the reflection of the large harvest moon
shining on the calm blue sea.

It reminded me of the time, we walked hand in hand.
I so yearn to be able to do that once again.

To have you hold me tight, as my eyes gaze into yours,
hearing you say how you love me so.

Bend over to kiss my lips, making me feel your love once again,
deep within my soul. Will it ever happen again?

I took one last look, before I left. I will never forget it,
for it lingers in my mind day after day.
