Guardian Angel

Guardian Angel

A Poem by Country Girl47

She was hurt, chastised, beaten,
From a mother who drank
This continued for so many years
School thought it was just a prank

Bullied all through her school years
Pushed into lockers, teased especially,
When she broke down into tears
Abused her emotionally, mentally.

She couldn't take it anymore
Thoughts of death crept through
All she could feel is lonliness, pain
Wanted to die so bad, too.

She ran to the woods, hiding in fear
When she felt the arms of an angel
And then heard him say to her, "In this
Web, you were caught, got tangled."

"Its not your fault, were honest and true. "
"I'm here to protect, for God has plans for you."
"When life gets too tough, I'll be here to pick you up.
"I'll see these trials, you'll safely make it through."

Country Girl47, great writing! It is sad, and so true kids can grow up like this. And I believe in angels. Wow. Dale

He's the only one who even truly cares and can truly trust.

Hi country girl.... Want to just say the poem is one of reassurance and hope....for anyone who finds themselves caught up in such a "web". God in his love has a plan and his hand is upon each one who calls out to him. Nice poem , sad story with such promise.
