I Thought I Had It All

When we first met,
I thought I had it all.
Only they turned on me
Waiting for me to fall.

I had held on so tight,
to the one I loved so.
Only now, it is time
to let him go.

That's what he's wanted,
including his family.
My own flesh and blood,
turned his back on me.

That's how it's always been,
and now time to let go.
To the ones who've crushed
