They Are Heroes To Me

These days many soldiers feel
They are nobody's heroes.
Been forgotten, no one cares.
Not given the respect they should.

Each day, they put their own life
On the line, for you and me.
Unfortunately, some even
Don't make it back to their home.

They deserve to be thanked,
For all their hard work and more.
For the freedom we still have
And not less fortunate, like some.

Next time you see a soldier,
Standing there so proud and so tall.
Be sure and tell them thank you,
For fighting for our country.
