In Disguise

In Disguise

A Poem by Country Girl46

When will they wake up and realize
Satan's in this world, wearing a disguise
Tricking people into telling their lies
Deceiving minds of those who are wise

They began using drugs, no longer had a brain
For the thought of getting high still remained
They'd been taught from drugs you must sustain
No common sense, now no longer even the same.

Just one more taste of whiskey is ok
Bad memories then will go away
Down one more shot, only two today
Drove home drunk, killed someone that day.

Just some ways Satan makes you his slave
Shackled and chained, above is your name engraved
Your freedom has now been taken away
All because they couldn't say no, and be brave

Nice composition! I like the usage of simple words to pass across the lies to the decayed world.
