A Child Is Finally Loved

Child raised with no hope, didn't know how to love.
No one to save her, when it came down to push or shove.
Emotional pain had scarred her the rest of her life
And physical scars on the outside done from the strife.

Became addicted to drugs she used to cover her pain
Mentally couldn't handle life so why on earth remain.
Many times cried out for help, only to be turned away.
Decided to leave and now looking for a place to stay.

So through life she aimlessly wandered looking for love
When someone was sent to save her from up high above.
A married couple were unable to have their own child.
They too, for quite some time, had lived in denial.

Later on in life, they decided to reach out and adopt one as their own
Wanted a family they could cherish, give hope, realized they weren't alone.
They were told it could be quite some time, before it fell through,
Other families were also looking for a child, too.

They found the homeless girl sleeping on a park bench
She looked sad, had a bag hanging on the red fence.
They thought this girl's life they could surely bless
By taking her home, would fix this big mess.

She woke up afraid when she had seen people there she didn't know.
They were happy and began to talk, decided she'd give it a go.
She lived with them for just a little while, but changed her mind
For at last, she found parents, who were loving and so kind.

Embraced in the arms of her parents, life now was good
No longer followed people back home from her hood.
Lived life to the fullest, taught how to love and care
Making life for her seem more then just fair.
