Please He Did No Wrong

Please He Did No Wrong

A Poem by Country Girl46

Please let him be
Hear me beg and plead
This man has done no wrong
Please stand up, be strong.

She began to cry and bowed her head
People around her had been mislead
This was the Son of God, future King
Hurtful words they said, did sting

They had to watch him take a beating
People all around were very deceiving
Now down that long road he had to walk
Carrying the cross, listen to people talk

When He finally reached Mt. Calvary
They nailed Him to that old tree
He took and bore all our sins on the cross
To save those who were and still are lost

Three days later, he arose from the grave
No longer would be Satan's rotten slave
In heaven He's waiting for that glorious day
To come and take us to heaven, forever to stay.
