I Am At War

I am at war with Satan and his foes
They attack, leave wounds open
With their hurtful words, pain, lies,
Anger, trying to steal my soul.

I had a surprise waiting for him
I had joined a very strong army.
I'm on God's Awesome Team, too.
With them on my side, I'll pull through.

Satan is trampled and smitten
By God's truth, grace, and love.
One by one, I see them fall
To the ground, thanks to God above.

I now can shout and sing
For I have found victory.
As I walked away from them
God's there waiting for me.

As I bow my head and thank Him
For fighting for me that day
He embraced me and then
He had sent me on my way

The good people need to lead with love, kindness and hope. Maybe the world will learn. Heal, not kill. Satan want separation. We must teach love and be the example. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry. Made me think tonight.
