A Second Chance, I Didn't Deserve

A Second Chance, I Didn't Deserve

A Poem by Country Girl46

This time, my life will end
It has too, I hated life.
I was suicidal many times
Sick of dealing with strife

November 3, 2014 my life
Was hanging by a thread
Hooked to a machine
Just wanted to be dead

Satan almost won that day
God said, "You are not going
To ever take her away.
She'll make it through today."

"She has a purpose in life,
I have a plan for her still.
She has to listen, make a choice
On her very own free will."

I have a very long way to go
Try to be stronger everyday
I woke up realizing it wasn't
Worth taking my life that day.

I'm glad you survived. I have lost two brothers to suicide.

I told people. Suicide is dead-end and life is possibilities. Thank you for sharing your powerful poetry. Please send read request. I would like to read your work.
