Guardian Angel Michael

Guardian Angel Michael

A Poem by Country Girl46

I head in the right direction
I'm stopped along the way
Temptations are all around me
Satan invites me to stay

As I turn my back to him
I bow my head and pray
Ask for protection as I go
The rest of the way today

I stop by a lake to rest awhile
On each shoulder I can see
Lucifer and Michael sitting
On my shoulder, fighting for me.

I feel like a piece of rope
Being pulled at both ways
Satan says, come with me
Excitment happening today.

Been quite awhile since you
Smoked some good weed
Haven't had a shot or two
They're both good, indeed

Heaven is just a fantasy story
Come with me to the Gates of Hell
They are all waiting for you to come
Can't you hear them ringing hells bells?

That's when Michael, my Guardian Angel
Speaks up and says to Satan there and then
It's time for you to go on your own way
Pushes him off my shoulder, begins to say,

Those days are gone for good
Let's walk forward, leave the past
Behind, for you're soul no longer
Belongs to Satan's Sisterhood.

Your heart belongs to Christ's Hood,
The Woman Of Faith And Hope
The Saints are praying for you there
Someday soon you'll be able to embrace
For you've been saved by God's grace.
