Most DaysA Poem by Kelly A. BrownMost Days -- There are those rare extremely good days when I feel completely infinite and surreally euphoric, in harmony with the Earth---when my vegetarian diet, fitness regime, serious reading, aware self kicks in for just a minute
and those are truly genuinely happy days.
Then there are days like today and yesterday and tomorrow and most days that make you wonder why you bother staying alive.
To see the morning news? To write another poem that no one will read? To hear them scream at you for breathing the wrong air? To please your lover? To please your mother? To let them win? To run from the hunter?
These days, most days, make me wonder what happens to all of the people who seemingly have little to live for and few people to lean on during those mostly sad days.
That is a lot of wasted time spent on meaningless genuine sadness.
Sometimes though, those rare good days are so unbelievable that everything strangely becomes worth all of the bad days, most days.
