Late Night Rejuvenation

Late Night Rejuvenation

A Poem by Kelly A. Brown

Got my cold beer

Got Bukowski

Got Kerouac

Got my pad and paper or computer

Got a lover sleeping in the next room

Got my favorite tv show on that I'm not watching

Got a huge sandwich, larger than life, with all the fixings and

glorious taste that any other sandwich would be jealous of

That seems to be all I really need these days

to

smile,

everything else seems extra

and frivilous,

except all of the above would be better

done

outside

in a nice breeze

with my radio

on,

and without these nights

alone without anyone

these great smiling

nights,

I would probably

go insane and

I wouldn't have anymore strength

left to

face the

fire.

About
I am a writer...I try to write from my soul. I am a fan of Charles Bukowski, Jack Kerouac, and the like. I love crazy poetry, but dislike poor spelling. I guess you can tell more about me by rea.. more..
