Pamper

Pamper

A Poem by Kelly A. Brown

You pampered me up a little bit more

with your glowing eyes and your soft

voice, telling me that you love me

more than yourself.

You pampered me in the nighttime when the

world was quiet and my breathing slowed

down a bit and my mind was

filled with angels and wandering

dreams.

You pampered me in the morning with a

sunlight kiss, awakening to nothing short of

love, nothing short of ecstasy, when I woke up

my eyes twinkling and my body relaxed in your

arms.

You pampered me carefully, to drop me

off suddenly, like a crumbling bridge that you took so

long to finish, with perfection of artistry and painful

love, with strong support and withstanding

strength.

You pampered me just to say:

f**k off

leave me alone

don't touch me.
