and that sparkle in your eyes.
I remember everything you have ever said
even though most of it was lies.

I remember our first kiss
so soft and nice.
I remember when you left me
“sometimes you have to roll the dice”.

I remember when you choose
two other guys before me.
I remember when you complained
they wouldn’t leave you be.

I remember when you cried in my arms
I felt nothing but pain
and now I know so much better
that it was just part of your game

I remember where we met
all those years ago.
I should have remembered
