Changes

Changes

A Poem by CJ

As we grow older,
why does everything
have to change?
New schools, new people,
new enviornments.
People leave.
You don't know
how short a time you have
until it's over.
As tears fall,
and goodbyes said and done,
you can't believe it's over.
Times can't be the same anymore.
You have to move on,
they have to leave.
How are we expected to just let them go?
Let our childhood and memories go?
Let everything that has been so dear just dissappear?

I can't do that anymore.
I can't let life fly by
without realizing I won't have
everything forever.
Too many changes,
with a heart that never ages.

the romantic heart does not age...in some...it becomes tainted...the tactile muscle thumps in predestined pa bump pa bumps and then retires with the accrued wisdom in a mind...lovely write :)

About
Started out a happy-go-lucky writer who just wanted to embrace all of life in writing. Turns out that it is more painful than I imagined. Tough times turn into honest writing. I never delete a piece f.. more..

Writing
