Can't Fool Myself

Can't Fool Myself

A Poem by CJ

Can’t Fool Myself

As much as I’d like to think something else,

I can’t make myself feel that way.

I can’t fool myself about the feelings I have.

It would be so much easier if I could,

Then I wouldn’t get hurt,

And I could move on.

But not everything goes as I wish.

I can think false,

But my heart will always know

The truth.

Another great piece, Casey. Sometimes feelings of love or affection can end up hurting more than we realize. It's that fear that they won't return your affection that makes it so hard to admit them, even to yourself.
