Because You're There

Because You're There

A Poem by CJ
"

this started as one thing....but the poem changed as i kept writing...

"

Because You’re There

Lights spinning,

Music everywhere,

You took me to the fair.

But where are you?

You are nowhere to be seen

In this sea of people.

I need you.

My knees give way,

I fall to the ground.

People surround,

You’re not there.

BLACKNESS

I wake up,

And you’re there,

By my side in this white room.

Monitors beep,

Doctors run frantically,

Who knows if I’ll die.

But everything is alright,

Because you’re there.

Incredible, Casey! You convey such emotion, such a need for the person to be there with you! The ending was quite dramatic, but served your purposes in showing how nothing was more important than whether he was there with you. Well done. :D
