Stronger

When I am with you,

The whole world is a blur.

You are different than anyone else could be to me.

No one can possibly be compared.

 

But then you went and broke my heart,

And you are forgotten.

Gone from my mind.

Your presence no longer wanted.

 

I might talk to you,

But not the same way.

I won’t try so hard.

And you should be fine.

 

If you come to me,

Wanting to be together,

I’ll remember how you hurt me.

You’ll have to prove you are the one.

 

I’m not one of those,

Who will cry, cry, and cry.

Not anymore.

You made me stronger, and tougher inside.

But that doesn’t mean it never hurt.

I think this is one of the best I've read from you, Casey!!! Well done! It kind of reminded me of Twilight when you spoke of the world being a blur and becoming a stronger person. Both the results of true love and passion. Excellent poem, Casey! This one's going in my favs! :D
