The StarsA Poem by CJ
The Stars If I wish, Upon a star, My dreams shall come true. The star that shines, As bright as it might, Is so far away, Far from my wish. Will it receive it? Will it know it’s from me? Maybe I should sign my name at the end. Would it help? Or is all this a little child’s tale? The stars must hold, Many wishes and dreams. If in fact, they do, Some might have come true, Some have yet to. I know these words seem silly, Who would care so much As to write questions about wishing on a star? Sign their name at the end of a wish? Who makes a big deal Of a little child’s tale? But it isn’t. Just wait and see, Mine will come true, For I believe. Whatever ever the matter, They are up there. Beckoning us to them. Yet they are far. And maybe that is our dream. And they are too far from it to complete it. It might seem foolish, But all my questions have meanings. I’m not sure, though, if they all have answers….. © 2008 CJAuthor's Note
