The Ocean

The Ocean

A Poem by CJ

The Ocean

The waves scream to me,

As they crash.

‘Come in! Come in!’

They seem to say.

The way they move,

It seems unnatural.

Rip tides,

Sweep across the front,

Catching the people,

In their path.

Back and forth,

In and out,

The waves come and go,

Just to return again.

They are something you can count on,

Unlike most people,

They give you a guarantee,

To come right back,

As long as you,

Are there so they can show,

That they keep their promise.

nice way to connect with nature and hear it's call! your use of personification seems almost to be real, but it still leaves behind that fantasy that keeps us wondering...

sweet poem!!

This poem had a really nice rythm to it. One thing you have to look out for is using so many commas, like in the phrase: As long as you, Are there so they can show, That they keep their promise." I don't think any of those commas were really necessary. Otherwise, great job!
