Bed

Bed

A Poem by Cosmic kid

Laying in your bed
I listen to you breathe
The sun lights up the room into a luminescent shade of gold
You turn stare into my eyes and smile
Then you reach out for me and grab me
Hold me closer then anyone has ever been to you

If I could go anywhere I'd choose your bed
I miss those afternoons where we'd try to nap but could never drift off into slumber
The smell of linen drifting through the room

But that was when I was happy
Everything was great

Now youre gone and your never coming back
I'll never lay in that bed again.

Boy, do I know that feeling? I'm currently going through that with someone, it hits home. I can feel the humanity seeping through this into my own emotion. Excuse me while I go cry...I mean, what?! Anyway, groovy poem! I dig it, for sure.

Loneliness really gets people, it's a strong emotion thank you :)
I felt your pain, and your love in this poem. Very good. I also have been through this.

Thank you
Some places can rebirth good and bad memories. Our beds are birth of rest, desire and memories of love. When we lay alone. The mind can wander to better days and moments. I like the flow of the story and the strong ending to the excellent poem.
