Beautiful Propaganda

Beautiful Propaganda

A Poem by Cosmic_Elecktra

Perfectly distorted images fed to our eyes
Venomous purity injected in our ears
Breeding deadly selfish lives
Where I is the only voice I hears

Painting imaginary figures in the sky with our minds
Hoping it will manifest something bigger than
the bribes that bind this our society
Where vanity has become our religion
Plumped up lips
Inflated hips
Where beauty is our bible

Mirror mirror on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all

Superficial breasts that have not yet been drained of its milk
Skin made from silk
Oh you poor caterpillars that suffer
on behalf of this poisonous human race
I pity your soulless souls
Is the assumption made by the self serving I

Or rather the I that is serving them
Who sell us plasticity
In order for them to kill mother nature
And fatten their pockets

Mirror mirror on the wall
Who's the greediest of them all

This really opened up a mental can'o'worms for me. I started to retrace all the embellishments and enhancements that the human race has used starting from body paint through to artifical limbs (Ancient Egypt until now) and even to botox and b**b jobs - its was a dizzying journey but one that led me to the same conclusion - if it makes a person feel good about themselves and if it is doing them no harm I'm all for it. Of course recent health scares attest to poor design and research of things like silicon implants but the bigger picture still is one of only good things...when done in moderation.

I liked this C_E and where it took me. :)
