Alone

Ravenous serpents surround Me 

with venomous shouts and mockery 

waiting to sink their teeth 

in their property 

divide My spoils like lottery 

even my best friend denied Me

my own people decried Me

I know it's God's sovereignty 

but honestly 

it feels like He abandoned Me,

everyone I love's absentee,

I needed them most

and they left me in the debris.
