Angel of The FallsA Poem by Cory ScottAngels and WaterfallsFixating Down From Atop The Falls I Observe The Water Cascading Downwards Into The Far-Reaching Bottom And Descry The Symphony of Sonorousness As It Perpetually Pours An Ethereal Mist Dampens Me The Galvanizing White Water Encompassing Me Has Me Feeling an Inquisitive Sense of Intrepidness To Stand at The Brink of The Precipice of The Falls Arms Outstretched, Body and Mind Acquiescent and Keen To Execute a Plummet Into The Distant Ocean Below Where The Gelid Water Can Rush Over Me Before Pulling Myself Out And Clambering Up The Craggy Ridge Back To The Peak High Up In The Heavens I Take a Deep Breath And Languidly Brace Myself When I Witness An Angel Graciously Whisk In and Out of The Falls Wings Broadened, Water Dripping Off She Drifts Upwards Approaching Me Her Eyes Bluer Than The Most Pellucid Waters Leaves Me Feeling Breathless With Wonderment Her Hair Resplendently Golden Nearly Blinds Me With It's Reflection of Sunlight A Rush of Wind Accosts Me As She Swoops and Alights Behind Me I Begin To Spin and Face Her But a Heartening Hand Posits Itself on My Shoulders And With Nary a Spoken Word I Perceive an Exalted Sense of Repose Her Hand Withdraws From My Shoulders Her Arms Embrace Me And Together We Soar Not Down Into The Glacial Water Below But Into The Pleasant Greeting Skies Beheld Evermore To The Angel of The Falls
