Into Dust

Into Dust

A Poem by Cory Scott
"

Dwell not on the past, thrive in the now, and look forward to the future.

"
Tides of Time Everlastingly Ebbing
Into The Profound Sea of Moments Past
Cherish The Present For It Only Ever Lasts
Fleeting Seconds, Turned Minutes, To Hours So Fast
To Days, To Years With Little Stretches To Spare
Rue Not a Lost Moment
For You May Find Yourself Ensnared
In a Web of Dolor
But With Unwavering Intentions
You Can Become Unfettered
To Gallivant Athwart The Coast of Mesmerizing Wonder
Where The Future Is Just Within Reach
And With Some Toil and Adheration
Destiny is Yours to Forge and Shapen
And Though History May Not Play on Repeat
You May Find It Has a Familiar Rhyme
So If You Find Yourself Bemused in Lust
Snap Back To The Shores of Time
Before You Turn Into Dust
