A Sheep in Wolfs Skin

A Sheep in Wolfs Skin

A Poem by Cory Scott
"

A quick poem for all to enjoy.

"
Surrender Your Spurious Sense of Well Being
Sheath The Daggers on Your Fingers
And Drop The Loutish Ensemble
You Suspect Gives You Significance

Your Presence Does Not Linger
A Feather in The Wind
Gone as Hastily as You Came

Arriving At a Venerable Cottage
You Threaten to Huff and Puff
But Have Nary The Faculty
To Blow This House Down

So You Claw And Plead at The Door
But No One Is Allowing You In
With Your Duplicitous Sins

So Cry Wolf, Cry
Recognize You're Not Sly
You're Less Than a Pup
And The Jig is up

Undo You're Pins
Let The World Identify Your Authentic Self
A Sheep in Wolf's Skin

This is brilliant - call the wolf out. But which one? They're all wolves didn't you know. ;)
I liked this oneCory - great imagery to feast the mind's eye but I have to say I thought that 'Boundless Garden' was head and shoulders above this.
I'm still a fan though.
