That Heart So Dull

"

This poem basically describes a broken heart beaten down and torn from consistently believing lies that were told to him from a heart not of his own.

"

Like the death kiss of an angel to a lifelong sentence of suffering.

They flap their ungrateful and impious wings.

To find yourself dragged through the darkness in an abyss of remorse and waiting.

Waiting. Waiting.

Fantasizing. Projecting,

The image that only your guilt and self-deprivation can bring.

The words still linger, they twist and gurgle in the receding of your soul.

You want to believe their more than a depiction.

But the price was already paid for,

In that heart so dull.
