Lost for lack of a lie

Lost for lack of a lie

A Poem by Corvus612
"

I was reading about transgender people and gay hate crimes...I had a lot on my mind and it was a very powerful moment...so I wrote this

"

The words in your mind are there,

but you don't believe in prayer.

All you can do is sit and soak it in,

silently wondering How did this all begin?

choking back the tears,

the deadening silence nears.

The blood shed from living a life without the lies,

Being honest to youself, you pay a hefty price.

No remorse from others,

you lie there and you bleed.

No one caring for another,

when finally in need.

How much hate can one world hold,

towards someone lying cold,

My hands they reach out for you,

I'll hold you while you cry.

I'll help to ease your sorrows,

so, together, we can fight.
