Inside These Walls

Inside These Walls

A Poem by Molly Ann Carruth
"

A poem from my book "Trauma Into Beauty"

"
Inside these walls
I stand before this door
An empty room
A hollow floor
These four walls I cannot escape
Inside I breathe what sits stale
An emotion I cannot find
Numb, my mind grows pale
Inside this madness I break
Inside this commotion I scream
Within these walls I drown
Within this confusion I am left with
I can only see these clouds
Without clarity
Without your words
Without reason
Without you I stand here
Within these four walls
Alone
Inside my own madness
I cannot hide
