I Cannot Believe in I'm Sorry

I cannot believe in "I'm Sorry."
How overused and filthy
those words have become.
Many use those words
as a cover for misdeeds done.
Many believe they still
hold sway, and mean something.
I cannot believe in "I'm Sorry."
Too many lie and cheat
and use these words as poison.
They say these words
without convection or belief.
How can you say something
you do not believe in yourself?
I cannot believe in "I'm Sorry."
Just words to me without
a special meaning.
How did it come to this
that I hate those words?
So much pain, and lies
that broke my heart.
I cannot believe in "I'm Sorry."

Just written, so it's very rough and I'll probably be going over and overhauling it within the next few days. I'm sure I can get more creative with this.
