Corvus

A Poem by Ebb and Flow
"

Yet again another raven poem. I wonder just how many more I will write.

"
Sable wings of night
Gliding through the moonlit sky
Harbingers of light
Scavenging in their nature
A haunting symbol of death

Author's Note

Ebb and Flow
This tanka touches upon two very different spectrums in which the raven falls. In some lore the raven is thought of as a symbol of death while in other lore the raven brought light to the world. In the future I am goin to do a series of poems that cover both of these spectrums.

In celtic lore, the Lady Way, the Raven is a dead relative watching to keep us safe.
