Three line poems are fascinating because each line represents volumes
reflecting the overall meaning, and this awsome poem is pure concept,
in the line "Thief of the sun" this line to me, represents the eternal scope
of the pondering point in which the subject reveals its understanding in

the great scope of nature- of a soulful inspiration the next line
"scavanger by nature, is not only an amazing image to ponder but reveals
the actuality that makes the vision so raw and definingly real.
and last but not least "ebony wings do fly." is the magic of the poem itself.
Really nice job, haunting and excellent in defining features.

Thief of the sun... I like that; it gives the bird a sort of mythical essence besides an omen of death.
