Unfeeling

Unfeeling

A Poem by Ebb and Flow

Tears can't flow
thoughts incoherent
heart feels like ice

Harsh words spoken
cold shoulder given
hollow and empty

No thoughts, no feeling
just a dark bleakness
loneliness runs supreme

Very moving poem. I enjoyed the feelings portrayed and truly rejoiced in wonderful techniques like the shift in the last stanza: where in the first and second stanzas you had choppy and to-the-point lines, the last stanza flowed and provided the wonderful closing and shift the poem deserved. Wonderful! Thanks.
