Unreal

Unreal

A Poem by Ebb and Flow
"

My heart one day will be set free, and my soul, my life will revive.

"
No ones knows my truest sorrows,
quick glimpses of a tortured past.
Haunted by a pain that follows,
wondering how long this can last.

A gap is left upon my heart,
it's as if I'll never be whole.
I'm missing an important part,
it has begun to takes its toll.

Some say that time is a heal all,
how wrong they are to think as such.
I always seem to hit a wall,
I really do not ask for much.

Good days are few and far between,
always holding my head up high.
Where's my shoulder on which to lean,
forcing a smile and a lie.

I tend to put on a good show,
hoping to put others at ease.
I may have reached an all time low,
but worry not about me please.

Someday that hole will fill itself,
and happiness will flood my veins.
Joy for now sits upon the shelf,
and I shall hide my very pains.

Please friend feel no pity for me,
for I am strong and can survive.
My heart one day will be set free,
and my soul, my life will revive.

That hole upon my heart will close,
and I will once again be whole.
I look forward to my repose,
Life, hope and love will be my soul.
