Cut DownA Poem by Ebb and FlowWritten about a tree I saw cut down at a campsite.Down you lie upon the ground cut by man so ruthlessly. You stood once proud and tall but dead you are today. Moss covers your mighty trunk as you decay away. You're turning back to your beginnings slowly. One day you shall be that sturdy tree again. Why you had to fall I do not know. For what you fell served mans purpose I would assume. But the sadness for your loss I do feel. Such waste however for you to rot. You will again feel the sun upon your leaves, And feel the chill of fall and dropping your coat.
