Are we closer yet?

Does your heart fill with joy

as mine does?

Are you proud to say I'm yours?

I know you fill my emptiness

with heartfelt joy.

I am proud to say you're mine.

We're both difficult people, but

people in love nonetheless.

I will fight for you

if you fight for me.

I do not wish to live my days

with you in sorrow.

We both should be happy and

care free to love unconditionally.

Nice. Short but sweet. I really liked the lines, "I will fight for you/ if you fight for me. Makes a good point about loving without expectations..
