Roots

A Poem by Ebb and Flow
"

Written on my vacation

"

You stub my toes and cut my feet.

You try to trip me every chance you get.

At times you match the ground perfectly

making you hard to see.

Absolutely everywhere

protruding from the ground.

You are unavoidable and such a pest.

I do admit at times you have your perks

You make hastey stairs though muddy ones.
