The Single Grain

The Single Grain

A Poem by Ebb and Flow
"

About the world and how I wish it could be fixed. XD

"

All around you the world falls to dust,

you turn a blind eye not wanting to see but must.

A broken, blackened world of unrest and death to be,

I look you in the eye and point to what you must see.

A tear rolls down a cheek of one who has sorrow and deep pain,

I take your hand and place in it a single grain of sand the only true gain.

Your eyes are amazed yet horrified at what you see upon the sand,

once mighty and grand man took his final stand.

You turn to me to speak the words I already knew,

My only reply is "Make a new."

Kinda rough. Tried to fix somethings, but that ended fruitlessly.

I love it. When you speak of the world falling to dust and such, I picture a chaotic, apocolyptic scene in the background, but, at the same time, I see nothingness, a void. Again, I'm ecstatic at the very mention of sand. :) The ending was excellent and speaks of new beginnings and shows that although the world can be a terrible place, there are still good people in it.
