SunA Poem by Ebb and FlowI wrote this many years ago and the inspiration was rain on a window pane.A blurred view outside my water window and the colors of a sunset fade. The pounding on the roof hits like the wind pounds the trees; the rain still falls. So much dark and not much light, the days are frigid and timeless. Days without warmth from the bulb in the universe, and the land begins to freeze. Once homely sentries on guard now are bare like a cemetery. A dark haze upon the land, and all color is wiped out, and yet there is hope. I see the break that develops before my emerald orbs and the color pushes its way in. Blown away I am by the beauty that sweeps upon me and a bitter tear rolls down my face. Heat rests upon my soul as I look into his brightening face, and I hesitate to reach out. Warmer and warmer he grows, and the cold creeps back in fear, and my window disappears. My vision as clear as fresh mountain water, and I reach out to grab the warmth. I smile and know his secret...he returns to restore balance, and his world is saved once again. © 2010 Ebb and FlowAuthor's Note
