The Devil's Thoughts

The Devil's Thoughts

A Poem by Ebb and Flow
"

I'm not really sure..

"

I seek an eternal darkness that
spreads upon this broken land.
I see with blind eyes the insanity
that is passed from person to person.
I hold so close at heart your pathetic
life but do not cherish it!
I tie down your soul damned to be
Bind by your own greed and
thoughtlessness.
I bear myself to your soul forever
spilling my insanity into your
hollowed veins.
And now it has come to pass that
you understand not the will to die or live.
A life shed is a tear lost to a life
that was passed as sane!

I really like the opening of the poem.

"I seek an eternal darkness that
spreads upon this broken land."

I've always been interested in poems that are somewhat sinister, and those which evoke strong emotions. This poem, especially the opening, does exactly that. It evokes rather strong emotions in me.
