Mangled

Mangled

A Poem by Ebb and Flow
"

When your heart simply cannot take it...

"

Mangled, broken heart

how much more can you really take?

Your blood flow slows

with each new wound inflected.

I feel my essence draining

from the strain of keeping you alive.

Giving in and closing my eyes
would be so simple, so sweet.
The darkness would wash over
me and I'd drift away into oblivion.

No dreams, or thoughts could reach me
and I could sleep forever.

Short but powerful... I can feel and relate to your words.
