Perpetual Nightmare

Perpetual Nightmare

A Poem by Ebb and Flow

Fractured dreams
haunted sleep,
a terror so deep
it consumes.
A waking nightmare
that's on auto-play,
and not a sound is made.
Lips stretched thin,
and eyes wide
in terror it starts again.
Horror upon horror
fills your waking eyes,
and than the scene
goes blank.
Time has frozen
for a fraction of a second,
and you reenter
the perpetual darkness.
