The ExamA Poem by Connor UreA confrontation n myself about the nature of selfhood and identity.
I took a peak of the paper,
the answer sheet for the exam, and it broke my heart - that traitor! for I couldn't give what I have. My sheet was as thin as wafer, as thick as the fleece of lamb. Of course, I was searching for the answers to the question of who I am. A predefined essence - As lit from the stars' luminescence, a space carved for my unique presence, is what I'm asking for which, in essence, is senseless! That I deny myself choice, In fear of my voice; That I am somehow safer, demanding answers from a blank sheet of paper, for an exam with no marks to score. © 2016 Connor UreAuthor's Note
