Life's New Chapter

Life's New Chapter

A Story by Corsette

"I love you." I whispered against his mouth. His lips smiled as they kissed me back. I leaned back and gazed down into his dark brown eyes. Love and peace shimmered in their depths, causing me to exhale softly. How did he give me the world in such a short time? He rubbed my bottom lip softly and gave me a soft half-smile.

"I love you too sweetheart." His bass voice echoed through me. I closed my eyes briefly letting it was through me. My hair curtained us as I leaned in for another kiss. His hands held me to him as my hands held his head still. My thighs clenched on each side of him balancing me. Soft music trickled from the stereo cushioning our love on a bed of sound.

Rain pattered against the windows like it was asking permission to enter. I ran my hand over his cheekbones and full mouth marveling that I could touch him and claim him as mine. His warm breath puffed against my neck as he swept my hair away to kiss my collarbone.

Desire thrilled through me but I tempered it to savor this moment. He ran his fingertips down my jaw, staring into my eyes. His pupils dilated as he felt the link between us. I felt his heart beat in sync with mine as I placed a hand on his chest. A distant third heartbeat echoed ours like a small drum.

He rolled me over and nestled himself against me. My body gladly accepted his weight as he leaned down to kiss me. Wrapping my legs slowly around him, I reveled in the feel of his warm skin against mine. Dropping soft kisses on my face, he rubbed my belly in tender circles.

"Thank you." he whispered. I nodded and kissed his tears away. "You will be wonderful." I murmured. His big brown eyes stared into mine. "We will be wonderful." he responded. We glanced at the framed sonogram on the nightstand.
